Green Goodness Breakfast


I usually start my morning with a green smoothie two to three mornings out of seven. I am a big fan of the Vega Protein Powder which can be found in most health food stores as well as GNC.

Smoothies are a great way to start off your morning, but be careful not to use too much fruit. Topping your smoothies with crunchy protein like chia seeds that force you to chew is helpful to stimulate digestive enzymes.  As far as protein powder goes I am a big fan of the Vega Protein Powder or whey protein if you can tolerate it.


  • 4 cups almond milk
  • 1 scoop of Vega powder
  • 3 green pears (pears are a fruit that have a low glycemic index)
  • 1 bunch of kale (about 4-5 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut butter
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Optional: 1 cup Greek yoghurt or cultured coconut

Blend and Enjoy!
